Phone Number Fields are fields designed to store a phone number in the given format.

  1. The Name for your field will help define what this number represents.
  2. Descriptions can be a good tool to keep track of further information to describe the field.
  3. You may define whether the value of this field must be Unique per the records in this table.
  4. A Placeholder can be configured to show text in a form field without populating the field with a value. Placeholders are only visible when no text is entered in the field.
  5. The Default Form Value can be configured as well. Unlike Placeholders, this value can be set by default to submit on a form.
  6. The Phone Number Format establishes how the number appears on forms and tables. IT should be noted that the format is adopted by all records in the table so if multiple number formats need to be stored, the default format is recommended.

When a Phone Number Format is set for a table, the form will show the format as a placeholder.

When viewing a Phone Number in a table component, the value appears as a telephone link. This can be especially useful when used through a mobile device.
